CERC rallies for Survivor’s Bill of Rights

December 7, 2015

Members of the Coalition to End Rape Culture (CERC) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst rallied alongside sexual assault survivors on Friday, Dec. 4 and demanded the immediate institution of a Survivor’s Bill of Rights at the university. President of CERC Priya Ghosh facilitated the demonstration, which began at 12:15 p.m. in front of the Student Union and ended with a march to the Whitmore Administration Building. CERC members demanded to speak with Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy to discus the enactment of the bill, under review for nine months now; administrators promised a future meeting with the chancellor’s chief of staff.
