Steve Fox

Steve has 20 years of experience as an editor and reporter for print and online publications, including 10 as an editor in various capacities at The Washington Post’s award-winning Web site. Prior to joining The Post, he was a sportswriter and editor at different publications for about 10 years, including serving as the national college basketball writer for United Press International. Editors

Julie Varney is a senior journalism student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is currently a staff member on the weekly news program “UMass This Week” at the student-run cable TV station UVC-TV 19. She was also a contributor to MassLive.com in a partnership with the UMass journalism program and recently served as the New Media Intern in Gov. Deval Patrick’s Press Office. She has worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the NECC Observer, the award-winning student-run newspaper at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Mass., and as a staff reporter at The Haverhill Gazette.

Matt McCarron is a senior journalism major with a concentration in film studies. Matt is also the Managing Editor Germanautonews.com, his own website dedicated to the coverage of high-end German automobiles and a staff member on the weekly news program “UMass This Week” at the student-run cable TV station UVC-TV 19.

Rachel Roberts is a senior environmental design and journalism student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is currently a contributor on Boston.com’s ‘After the Storm’ blog dedicated to chronicling the rebuilding efforts of communities devasted by the June 1 tornado. She has previously worked as an editorial intern for MassLive.com.
