Hola de Barcelona!!! My name is Allie Moss and I am a Journalism major at the University of Massachusetts. However, for the next four months I will be studying at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain! I love to travel and I am so excited about this adventure. My name is Olivia Fahey and I’m a junior at UMass where I study journalism and spanish. I’m currently abroad studying in Valencia, Spain known as the city of arts and sciences. This is my first time in Europe and I cant wait to write about all my exciting adventures. I’m most looking forward to practicing my Spanish and traveling.
My name is Jessica Sacco (the brunette in the photo) and I’m a Junior Journalism and Spanish major at UMass. I´m studying at the Universidad de Oviedo in Oviedo, Spain for the 2010 spring semester to complete requirements for my major and hopefully become bilingual! I´m originally from a small town in Massachusetts, about 40 minutes north of Boston. I have never been to Europe before so I´m looking forward to meeting new people and traveling to as many places as possible while abroad.
I’m a senior journalism major, originally from Seekonk, MA, set to graduate in May of 2010 after completing an internship program abroad. I’m studying with CAPA International Education, an agency that allows students to both work and study all over the world. During my time here I will be interning at the London Chamber of Commerce, and taking classes on CAPA’s campus. I’m hoping that the experience here will help me decide what I want to do after leaving UMass. But even if it doesn’t, the experience will still be a life changer!
Nick O’Malley is a junior sociology and journalism major studying at University College Cork in Ireland. Nick’s and half-Irish boy from Bellingham, Mass. looking to find out more about the country that is so popular in Massachusetts culture and how it compares to its American portrayal. Of course, if that means getting cozy in a pub, that’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make.
