I open my eyes to the salty green and press my ear to the bottom of our home for the day, listening to muted swells of sighs, speaker sound and surf.
At school I seem to studiously labor away at my computer. But stand behind me and you will usually spy Spotify’s logo and me resting on a Cloud of Sound. There, when I want to listen to new (to me) music I am restricted to my desk. But when I get home I can freely stroll where my friends and social media lead me, my feet beating through brambly beds. Sonorous voices send me to sunlit coves; I simultaneously want to toss my body into the sea and float on my back with eyes closed. So I DIIV into the Oshin, my Ocean Bed. Above me the boat is bumping on (20) Wave Caps and it all feels like Bathwater on my skin. I smile and shiver because summer is Sinking in.
My legs dangle above the Blue Ocean Floor and the smell of Sweat, well It’s In The Air. I look up and shield my eyes; it’s as white as a Paper Sun. I lean back and sway for it seems as though the water is whispering (Oh!) Sweet Nothings. This is no Winter Song it is a hypnotic blur, an infusion of Dramamine which leaves me wondering, Where Is My Mind? We are both Here And Heaven. I should probably go back to school.
