Slideshow: UMass students tailgate before Minuteman victory

University of Massachusetts Amherst football fans crowded the parking lots adjacent to McGuirk Stadium Saturday afternoon for the first tailgate of the 2016 season. Amherst Wire photographers Joshua Murray, Caitlin Cooke and Jon Decker were on the scene to capture the pre-kickoff celebration.

Following the parking lot party, the UMass Minutemen beat the Florida International University Panthers 21-13 Saturday — the first win of the season for the Amherst squad.
