Free Cardi B concert still a possibility for UMass right-swipers

Get on the Tinder-finger treadmill, University of Massachusetts Amherst, because enough right swipes could bring the colorful Cardi B to campus for a free concert April 25.
On March 27, via Tinder’s Twitter page, ascending rap star Cardi B announced a collaboration with the dating app and 64 universities in a competition to see which school could swipe right on Tinder the most.

Since then, the field was narrowed down to 32 universities on April 2, 16 on April 5, and now eight remaining universities as of Monday. Schools competing with UMass for this illustrious prize are Boston University, Duke, Northeastern, Princeton, University of California San Diego, University of Connecticut, and University of Pennsylvania.
Tinder will announce the top two schools on April 13 and the champion concert-winning campus on April 18.
In a brilliant marketing scheme, Cardi released her debut album “Invasion of Privacy” on April 5 when the round of 16 schools was announced. The stripper-turned-rapper exploded onto her pop-culture pedestal with her single “Bodak Yellow” released on June 16, 2017 by Atlantic Records.
Cardi B and Offset from the Migos got engaged in October, and Cardi announced April 7 on Saturday Night Live they are expecting a child.
