Interning abroad

May 5, 2014
I spent this past semester living in London and interning at The Independent, a national British newspaper. The Independent was launched in 1986 and is one of the youngest daily newspapers in the United Kingdom. When I first received my placement, I wasn’t very familiar with the Indy, but after doing some research I realized it is one of the most respected newspapers in the UK.

Aquaculture at Australis

May 5, 2014
A mechanical hum like the crashing of ocean waves fills the air as workers weave through the large tanks that held clusters of black and silver fish of all sizes. Minding the gap: An American abroad in London

Vincenza Parella, Writer March 31, 2014
Make yourself go into that pub and order some chips and beer; ask the bartender the coolest place they’ve been to in London. Take the Tube to a neighborhood you haven’t experienced like Camden with its awesome food market. Take a chance, chances are, it will make a world of a difference.
