UMass wide receiver Jalen Williams featured on SportsCenter
AMHERST — University of Massachusetts Amherst wide receiver Jalen Williams made a one handed, juggling touchdown catch last weekend during a game against Mississippi State at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
Though the Minutemen lost 47-35 to Mississippi State, Williams’ catch drew national attention. The snag was featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 Plays. It ranked the fourth best play of the day in sports.
William’s catch aired on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays Saturday night and throughout the day Sunday, alongside plays from the MLB, the World Cup of Hockey and other college football games.

Williams’ touchdown catch, his second of the day, put the Minutemen back in the lead 21-20 with just over seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. UMass could not hold on, ultimately being outpaced by the Rebels in a high-scoring shootout.
The Minutemen will take on Tulane University on Saturday in this season’s homecoming football game. UMass is 1-3 this season, while Tulane’s record is 0-1.
UMass is trailing now, but this catch to take a 4th-quarter lead vs Mississippi State was filthy. #SCtop10 https://t.co/ipugSG0V3T
