  1. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

Starting off strong, this classic is over 50 years old. This is a great movie to watch with a younger audience. In this movie, Linus awaits for “The Great Pumpkin” at his local pumpkin patch. He believes that “The Great Pumpkin” will fly into the air and deliver presents to children across the globe, similar to Santa Claus. Charlie and the rest of the crew go trick or treating with Snoopy and then to a Halloween party at their friend Violet’s house. Throughout the movie, Sally is torn to stay with her friends or wait in the pumpkin patch with Linus, who she has the most adorable crush on. Will ‘The Great Pumpkin” make an appearance in the movie?

  1. Halloween (1978)

Thus the name, this is most definitely a must watch for those of you that enjoy an eerily creepy flick. In 1963 on Halloween night, 15 years prior to the movie taking place, six-year-old Michael Myers stabbed his 15-year-old sister to death. Michael was institutionalized for 15 years before breaking out on Halloween night. He is headed straight back to his hometown, and his urge to kill has not gone away. Will he succeed on this attempted Halloween killing spree?

  1. Coraline (2009)

Tim Burton’s classic animation style is shown off in this classic Halloween film. Coraline is an 11 year-old girl who just moved into an old house, where she feels bored as well as neglected by her parents. She discovers an alternate world in her own home where everybody has buttons for eyes, but her parents in this new universe seem to be loving. After being offered to stay in this universe forever, Coraline refuses and finds out that this new universe is a trap. Will Coraline escape this crazy parallel universe? How would she manage to do so?

  1. Hocus Pocus (1993)

Max is the new kid in town, and his actions accidentally brought three evil witches back to life. These three witches were executed in Salem during the 17th century due to practicing dark magic. The three witches pursue the trick-or-treating children throughout the movie. Now the three witches have until sunrise to achieve immortality and it is up to Max, his girlfriend Allison, and his little sister Dani to prevent that from happening. Of course, they also have the help of a 300-year-old cat. Will the crew be successful in saving the children and finally putting the witches to rest? With the sequel already on DisneyPlus, you should probably rewatch the original to refresh your memory.

  1. Friday the 13th (1980)

Another seasonal classic. It’s hard to go wrong with a good 80’s movie! In 1957 a young boy named Jason drowned at a lake near Camp Crystal Lake. Then in 1958, two camp counselors are both murdered on the premises. The killer remains a mystery. 21 years later, the camp is reopening but people fear that more terror will strike. The camp counselors now are being stalked, and they don’t know by whom. Will the killer strike Camp Crystal Lake again?
