WATCH: UMass students strike for sanctuary campus last week
AMHERST — Students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst held a strike Friday, Feb. 17, to further demand the UMass system become sanctuary campuses.
Participants were asked to skip classes and refrain from making any purchases on campus. Roughly 50 people participated in the teach-in at the Student Union, which was held from 10:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m.
