Students and area residents gathered Monday afternoon in protest of the decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson made in Ferguson, Missouri last week. Students were encouraged to leave classes for the protest and gather in front of the Student Union not only in protest of the lack of indictment, but in defiance of the police brutality people of color face in the United States. Event organizers led those gathered in chants before allowing volunteers to come forward and share their thoughts and feelings. Images and statements from the event are shown above.
