Introspective Ramblings: “Fabricating Barriers”
Editor’s Note: Introspective Ramblings is Amherst Wire’s poetry column, dedicated to showcasing student’s creative work.
Fabricating Barriers
Torn apart at the seams
The people who pulled threads
Without reason and cries of fallacy
Haunting words echo
In every still moment
I am consumed in my weaknesses.
I was lead to the depths
By all too familiar hands
Past emotions bind me
Repentance looms without hope
Avoidance becomes second nature
Until the impenetrable tiers graze the merciless clouds
Blocking any shred of sunlight.
