AMHERST — A 19-year-old Amherst man died in a West Street residence Saturday night, according to Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Mary Carey.
No foul play is suspected in the man’s death, Carey said in a statement Sunday night. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, according to the statement.
According to Carey, Amherst Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s Office responded to the West Street residence Saturday night.
Carey could not comment on whether the man who died was a student. As of Sunday night, it was unclear whether the residence was an apartment or a house.
