alphabet soup

it’s no surprise 

i comes before u in the alphabet 

because we live in a selfish world 

an “i come before you” world 

the sickening thing about it 

is that just like u and i 

are both vowels of equal importance, and vocabulary would be incomplete without either, 

you and i 

are both humans of equal importance, and our world would be incomplete without either 

yet the two letters are so far apart, 

maybe we need to rearrange the alphabet
